An Interlibrary Loan is a service that allows Corona Public Library to borrow material from other libraries. Books, videos, articles, newspapers, music and microfilm are a few different kinds of materials available. Interlibrary Loans can bring material for school projects or genealogy research to you. The cost is only $5.00 per request and you leave all the work to us.
What is an Interlibrary Loan?
An Interlibrary Loan is a great way to find material whether you have searched everywhere or it’s simply not here at the Corona Public Library. Through the Interlibrary Loan service Corona Public Library can borrow different materials from hundreds of different libraries for your use.
What kind of materials are available?
Interlibrary Loans make it possible to find a wide variety of materials. Almost anything you can think of is out there to be borrowed from hundreds of other libraries! Books, videos, articles, newspapers and microfilm are just a few different types of materials.
Who can place an Interlibrary Loan?
Anyone with a Corona Public Library card is more than welcome to place an Interlibrary Loan. If you don’t have one getting one is easy.
How do I place an Interlibrary Loan?
At the Adult Information desk there are forms for requesting an Interlibrary Loan. The Librarian at the desk will be able to help you fill out the form with as much information as you know about the material you are looking for. Once this is done the form is taken to the Circulation Desk and $5.00 per request is paid. At this point the form is returned to the Adult Reference desk and they will give it to the person who will look for the requested material and get in touch with you.
