You don't need any special skills, college degrees or certificates - just a lot of interest, caring and patience.

Instructional books and materials are available for checkout at the library.

Scheduling is flexible - meet any time or day that the library is open.

"I've been tutoring at the Corona Public Library for fifteen years and teaching a phonics class for about eleven of those years.

Tutoring is one of the highlights of my entire life, but also the most fulfilling thing I've ever done, outside of having my family!

"I get a great deal of satisfaction from tutoring. It is very rewarding to help someone discover the joy of reading and to support their efforts towards self improvement. I feel like I am making a difference and I share a sense of accomplishment when a student is able to meet their goals.
