The Corona Public Library offers public internet PCs as well as Wi-Fi access. Wi-Fi is available anywhere inside the building and does not require a login or password. To use one of the public internet PCs, you must obtain a Corona Public Library card. Card holders may use the public internet PCs for up to one hour each day. Patrons without library cards may use a guest internet PC for up to 15 minutes each day.
| Once you obtain a card, you will notice a barcode on the back like the one shown here. Underneath the barcode is a 14 digit number. Typically, the library card number has seven leading zeros and seven digits following them. You will need this number to log onto the public internet PCs. |
You will also recieve a four digit PIN which you will also need to log on to the PCs. The staff will write your PIN on a yellow card like the one shown here.
| When you find an empty computer, you will see a login screen like the one shown here. Enter your library card number in the top field. Be sure to include all leading zeros and do not enter any spaces. Enter your PIN in the bottom field. |
| Once logged in, you will see an icon on the desktop for Internet Explorer. Double-click on this to start using the web. The internet computers also have Microsoft Office 2003 installed so you can do word-processing, spreadsheets, desktop publishing and presentations. |
