What is Baby Sign Language?
Baby Sign Language is a way for babies to express themselves with their hands. It can be used as a bridge of communication for your baby while he or she cannot yet speak.
A Baby Sign Language class is offered on a bi-monthly basis at the Corona Public Library. This one hour class is led by a team from our staff: one of whom is deaf and one who is hearing. Sign Language does not have to be limited to families with a deaf family member. It is also a way babies can communicate before they are able to talk.
The class includes stories and songs that will help you and your child learn the signs presented that day. If you can't make it to a class, sit down with your child and watch the videos used in class! Just click on the words below and you will see a video of the sign. Enjoy!
