What is my Adobe ID?

If you have an Adobe product such as Digital Editions, Photoshop or Acrobat Professional then you already have an Adobe ID. When you registered your Adobe software you created an ID, it is typically your email address. Example: cpltraining@gmail.com.

You must use this same Adobe ID when downloading eBooks using Adobe Digital Editions. If you’ve forgotten your Adobe ID or password visit Adobe’s
‘Returning members sign in’ and select the appropriate links for retrieving your ID and/or password.

Why can't I access my eMedia account?

If you try to log into your eMedia account, but receive a message indicating there's an issue with the account or card. There could be a number of potential issues that cause this problem. Please go through each possibility until the issue is identified and rectified.

  1. All 14 digits of your Corona Public Library card must be entered without any spaces. Example: 00000000012345;
  2. If you have fines exceeding $9.99 or you have overdue items on your account (books, DVDs, CDs, etc…);
  3. Your borrowing privileges have expired and must be renewed by Checkout Desk Staff (Call 951-279-3737);
  4. Your library card number has been completely removed from our system because it appears to be an inactive account, this will happen if you have not checked out a book, CD or DVD from the library in the last 2 years – internet, database & eMedia use do not appear on library accounts.

  3. Select ‘Go to My Documents’ from the list of options & you should see the downloaded title.
  4. Highlight the title using the up & down buttons on the touchscreen;
  5. Press the circle button on the right-side of the touchscreen to open the eBook.

Why didn't I receive an email notifying me that an eBook was available for checkout?

Two possibilities:

  1. Your email provider may be blocking the notification because it does not recognize the sender. All hold or my waiting list notifications will be sent from the following email address, notices@coronapubliclibrary.org. Add this email address to the list of email addresses permitted to contact you. OR
  2. There are two types of lists available through our eMedia site, 'My Wish List' & 'My Waiting List'. 'My Wish List’ is simply a way to track what you would like to read when you have the opportunity. ‘My Waiting List’ is the holds list, you will receive an email notification when the title is available and that title will be held for you for 4 days. You must ‘join the waiting list’ for a title if you would like to receive an email about its availability.

The error message reads:
We're sorry, but an error occurred while processing your download.
Error code: 80040812
Error details: Failed call to fulfill the title. The fulfillment limit (3) for the requested title has been reached.

This error is generated when you exceed the download limit for a license file. The download limit for OverDrive Audiobooks is 3 attempts. This means that you will receive this message if you click the download button more than 3 times.

If you were able to download some parts of the book, try this:
1. Open the OverDrive Media Console;
2. Right click the title of the book, and select 'Download Part(s)'.
3. In the 'Download Part(s)' dialog box, choose which part(s) you would like to download by placing a checkmark next to the desired part(s), then click the 'OK' button.

If this does not fix the problem, please contact the Library's OverDrive Support for assistance.
